What Is the Chargeback “Safe Zone” and Why 0.5%?

A chargeback safe zone is the acceptable percentage of transactions that are labeled as fraudulent within the payment processing cycle.

It’s widely accepted that merchants with a consistent fraud rate of 0.7% of all transactions are considered in the “safe zone”.
